The Role: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary SEN Teacher to join our team. As a Primary SEN Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of our students, delivering high-quality education tailored to individual needs. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team of professionals to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences that inspire and empower our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other professionals.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and respected.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote academic progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in regular meetings and reviews.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching primary-aged students with SEN.
  • A deep understanding of SEN teaching methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to meeting the diverse needs of every child.
  • Resilience, patience, and empathy in working with students with complex needs.
