An award-winning SEN School group renowned for its excellence in inclusive education is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Primary Teacher to join the permanent staff at our esteemed school in Kidderminster, Worcestershire. Our school is committed to providing exceptional educational experiences tailored to the unique needs of each student, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of SEN students.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with varying needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, support staff, and external professionals to provide comprehensive support to students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date records in accordance with school policies and statutory requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child’s progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience working with primary-aged children with special educational needs.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN best practices and teaching strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective IEPs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of SEN students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
