About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs. You will work closely with a team of professionals, including teaching assistants and support staff, to deliver tailored educational programs that cater to the individual needs of each student. Your commitment to fostering a positive learning experience will empower students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that are adapted to meet the varying abilities of students.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and confidence.

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with experience in SEN education.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs and how to overcome them.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • Experience working with a range of SEN conditions, including ASD, ADHD, and other learning difficulties, is highly desirable.
