  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet individual student needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with SENCO and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Keep accurate records of student attendance, behaviour, and academic performance
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Knowledge of SEN Code of Practise and relevant legislation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Understanding of different learning styles and strategies to support students with SEN
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Proficient in using assistive technology and resources to support learning
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Training in Makaton, PECS, or other communication systems
  • Work in a school setting with classroom and individual student support
  • Regular interaction with students, parents, and other professionals
  • Compliance with school policies and procedures related to safeguarding and SEN provision

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
