  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons to students with special educational needs
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - preferred
  • Specialist knowledge/experience in teaching students with special educational needs
  • Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience 
  • A clear understanding of special educational needs
  • Strong understanding of SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Additional training in specific areas of SEN such as autism or dyslexia

This role involves working in a school setting, collaborating with other teachers and support staff. Part-time hours are expected, with flexibility required for meetings and training sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
