Role Overview:

As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to engage with their learning and develop essential skills. You will work closely with teachers to implement tailored support strategies, ensuring that every child receives the care and attention they need to thrive academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons and activities for students with special educational needs.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance students' learning experiences.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging student participation and confidence.
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and support staff to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ) are preferred but not essential.
