SEN Teaching Assistant, Garstang (PR3).  

Part-time, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Competitive rates of pay between £11.85-£12.50.

A mainstream client school in Garstang are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a KS1 child that has and EHCP. The candidate needs to be reliable, strong and passionate about making a difference. The needs of the child are high, they have ADHD and ADS, so need a Teaching Assistant to support the child through school. The role has a possibility to roll to a permanent position depending on the candidate. The school need the educator to start after the Easter half term, working just full days Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Main responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ADHD, tailoring assistance to their unique learning styles and needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents or guardians to update them on the student's progress and discuss strategies for consistent support at home and school.
  • Communicate regularly with the teacher to discuss progress and adjustments to support plans.

Do you have:

  • A passion for working with children and a genuine interest in supporting those with ADHD and ASD.
  • Experience working with children with SEN.
  • Level 3 is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience working with children who display challenging behaviour.
