  • Supporting the educational and social development of students with special educational needs (SEN)
  • Assisting teachers in planning and delivering tailored lessons for SEN students
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with SEN to help them achieve their learning goals
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support SEN students effectively
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant qualification in supporting individuals with SEN (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification)

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience working with SEN students in an educational setting

  • Understanding of different learning needs and strategies for SEN students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Additional training in specific areas of SEN support (e.g., autism, dyslexia)
  • First aid certification

This role involves working in a classroom setting within a school environment. The hours are full-time during school term times. The ability to adapt to varying student needs and behaviours is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
