Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Milton Keynes

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teaching Assistant to join our team immediately. The successful candidate will provide invaluable support to our students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and other members of the school staff to ensure the individual needs of each student are met.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the classroom teacher and SENCO as required.
  • Support students with personal care needs, if necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with special educational needs is desirable but not essential.
  • A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to working with children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of children with special educational needs.
