Job Duties:
- Assist in providing support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational setting.
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individualised education plans.
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assist in planning and delivering appropriate learning activities for students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the specific needs of students with SEN.
- Monitor and record students' progress and communicate with teachers and parents/guardians.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children with SEN or equivalent qualifications.
Education:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting or personal experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proactive and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
- Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain good behaviour control.
- Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioural/learning needs.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and individual student requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional training or certifications related to SEN support.
