Job Duties:

  • Assist in providing support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an educational setting.
  • Work closely with teachers and other professionals to implement individualised education plans.
  • Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and delivering appropriate learning activities for students with SEN.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the specific needs of students with SEN.
  • Monitor and record students' progress and communicate with teachers and parents/guardians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with children with SEN or equivalent qualifications.

Education:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting or personal experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proactive and passionate about supporting children with SEN.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage behaviour effectively and maintain good behaviour control.
  • Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioural/learning needs.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and individual student requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or certifications related to SEN support.
