This fulfilling position involves providing vital one-on-one support to a year 8 student with autism, aiding them in both academic pursuits and emotional development. As a compassionate and patient Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating a seamless return to full-time education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support and encouragement to the student throughout the school day.
• Foster the emotional well-being of the student, creating a nurturing environment for growth.
• Handle potential disruptive situations calmly, de-escalating tensions when necessary.
• Collaborate closely with teaching staff to ensure the student's needs are effectively met.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Full-time availability, with a background in sports, care, or education.
• Willingness to contribute to the Chepstow community.
• Confidence in managing pressure with grace and adaptability.

Qualifications and Training:

• Possess an enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if required).
• Registration with the education workforce council (assistance provided if required).
• Minimum core GCSE qualifications.
• Safeguarding training (assistance provided if required).

While experience with Special Educational Needs is preferred, we welcome enthusiastic candidates who demonstrate essential qualities such as patience and understanding. Training and support will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
