A primary SEN school in Manchester are looking for teaching assistants to take on full-time roles. The school are committed to creating a supportive environment for each student, and have a team of highly skilled staff to help each student with any additional support requirements they have. Most of the children within the school will have a diagnosis of ASC and will have complex needs that you will help to attend to.

Responsibilities:

-          Work closely with SENCO and teachers to implement individual learning plans for each student

-          Provide one-to-one and group support to students in various subjects and activities

-          Adapt teaching techniques and materials to suit individual needs

-          Assist in creating and organising sensory and interactive resources to enhance learning experiences

-          Monitor and record student progression, behaviour and achievements

Requirements:

-          Previous experience supporting SEN children

-          Previous experience with the primary curriculum and good experience working within a school environment

-          Empathy, patience and passion for helping students with diverse needs

-          A good knowledge of safeguarding

-          Available full-time during school hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
