  • Provide support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for students
  • Help students with their learning and development, focusing on their specific needs
  • Support students with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work with small groups of students or on a one-to-one basis
  • Help students to integrate and participate in classroom activities
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Ability to empathise and communicate effectively with students

Relevant qualifications in Education or Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

  • Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
  • Patience and resilience when working with students facing challenges

Additional training or certifications in SEN support

  • Work in a classroom setting within a school
  • May involve assisting students with personal care needs
  • Full-time hours with occasional additional hours for meetings or planning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
