  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting classroom teachers in implementing individual education plans for SEN students
  • Providing one-to-one support to SEN students as required
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with the personal care needs of SEN students, if necessary
  • Valid DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service)
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

  • Understanding of different types of SEN and appropriate support strategies
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Additional training in supporting students with specific SEN requirements
  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • May require some physical activity and assisting with personal care needs
  • Collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
