A fantastic primary school in the Hackney area are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant from September until the end of the academic year, to support students with various social, emotional, mental health (semh) and behavioural needs

As a teaching assistant at this school, your duties will require you to supervise the pupils throughout the school day, encourage the pupils to engage with their education, build positive relationships with the pupils, and calm down hyper-active behaviour. You may be required to work 1:1 with a certain pupil, small groups or provide more general classroom support. The school would be interested in a candidate who has previous experience supporting children or adults who display challenging behaviours. 

This role would be suitable for applicants with a background in Education, Sports, Carers, Residential support workers or Youth Workers 

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are patient
  • Have experience working with pupils with SEN
  • Have experience working with KS1/KS2 pupils
  • Have a caring disposition
  • Uk address and right to work
  • Encourage pupils to engage in every activity
  • Are able to reinforce positive behaviour

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH TEACHING PERSONNEL, YOU MUST: 

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references that cover the last two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
