Are you a passionate and dedicated teaching assistant based in the Wiral area? We are looking for the right person to help support secondary students, working in small classes.

We have an opportunity for you to work in a school in the Wirral area itch students who have had struggles previously in mainstream schools. The aim for the school is to re-engage them and prepare them to return to mainstream school hopefully. They form strong bonds with students that are built on trust. The staff work hard to try and break down any barriers that the children may have towards learning.

Students have previously had some social or behavioural difficulties whilst attending mainstream schools. The staff work together to create a safe and comfortable environment for the students, they have formed trustworthy bonds with the pupils which encourages them to try their best and reach their full potential.

The school’s vision is to create happy, healthy, safe, independent young adults who are social communicators. The leadership team think it is extremely important to have staff who will go above and beyond to create a safe environment for pupils and help them to reach their individual goals and thrive.

  • The working hours are 8.30am–3.30pm (full-time)
  • Specialist provision- Wirral
  • The pay for this role is £11.85 - £12.57 per hour depending on experience!

The ideal teaching assistant would be somebody who is able to use initiative, they will be able to think outside the box and create ways to keep students engaged and comfortable. We are looking for someone who is able to build relationships and set great examples to the children to encourage them to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
