Location: Various schools across Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham, and Chesterfield 

Roles Available: Full-time and Part-time positions 


Are you a psychology student or a recent graduate with a degree in psychology? Do you have a keen interest in mental health and a desire to make a tangible difference in the lives of children with additional mental health needs? If so, we have exciting opportunities for you!

As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and emotional well-being of students with special needs. This position offers hands-on experience, allowing you to apply your psychological knowledge in a practical setting and develop your skills in a supportive and rewarding environment.

  • Support Learning: Assist in the classroom by providing tailored support to students with special needs, helping them to engage with and understand the curriculum.
  • Emotional Support: Offer emotional and behavioral support to students, fostering a safe and nurturing environment where they can thrive.
  • Individualized Attention: Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to address their unique challenges and needs.
  • Collaborate with Educators: Partner with teachers and other school staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
  • Monitor Progress: Track and report on students' progress, helping to adjust strategies as needed to ensure their ongoing development.
