Role Overview: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with SEN in their educational journey. You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to deliver tailored assistance, ensuring each student receives the support they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities and help create a positive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their personal and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt and develop support strategies.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or educational setting is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
