We are looking to recruit x2 full-time SEN teaching assistants to support one of our expanding Partnership Schools that we work closely with.

The role would be suitable for applicants that are local to Hemel Hempstead (HP3 postcode) or surrounding areas.

Applicants would need to be able to have access to a car or reliable public transport due to the location for this role.

This is a full-time position, working in one of our partnership schools 5 days a week, with working hours of 8:30am – 15:30pm: term time only.

We have the option to start ASAP, or we are also recruiting now for roles starting after suitable notice periods for successful candidates.

Some relevant professional or personal experience, with a well-established understanding of Special Educational Needs is required.

 

  Typical TA Duties can include:

  • Be crucial in supporting students with their learning, development, and progress in all areas of the curriculum within a range of learning contexts including the classroom, the local environment and within the community.
  • Help young people with a range of needs, including PMLD, complex medical conditions and autism to achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Support an environment that fosters equality, diversity, and the rights of all young people to be seen as learners and be treated with respect.
  • Place an emphasis on support and empowerment of young people.
  • Develop a greater understanding of Special Education issues; the values of Aurora and demonstrate these in all aspects of the role.
  • Provide high quality support in all aspects of the role.
  • The role may require participation in physical intervention and personal care routines.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
