Teaching Personnel are working closely with a Primary School in Chorley (PR7) who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their staffing team on a full-time basis starting ASAP.

The role is to work in one of the schools Year 2 classes to support a child with severe ASC on a 1:1 basis. The child struggles to access learning inside the classroom so requires a full-time support to help them to focus and engage with learning. The child can also display challenging behaviours so the school are looking for a strong SEN TA who will be able to build a strong working relationship with the child to help improve their engagement within lessons and their relationships with peers.

The school are ideally looking for a TA who has prior experience supporting children and young people with Autism. If you are interested in the role and have experience supporting learners with other special educational needs, then we would still be interested in hearing from you!

The role is full time and will be on going for the full academic year. The school are looking for an SEN TA who has a positive attitude, is kind and compassionate and has a good sense of humour.

The successful TA will be supported continually by the schools SENDCo and the rest of the SEN support team.

This is a full time role that will start in September 2024 and will run for the rfull academic year. The opportunity for permanent appointment in September 2025 may be possible for the right person.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
