SEN Teaching Assistant New

We are currently seeking two full-time Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching assistants to join our expanding Partnership Schools. The successful candidates will provide support to our pupils, and we are looking for individuals with a strong understanding of SEN, based in or around Meldreth (SG8 postcode).

As this role may require travelling to our Partnership Schools, applicants must have access to a car or reliable public transport. If you are based in surrounding areas, please refer to the bottom of this vacancy for commute times by car.

This is a full-time position, working 8:30am to 16:30pm, Monday to Friday during term time. We are currently accepting applications for an immediate start or for roles starting after a suitable notice period.

Some relevant professional or personal experience in SEN is required for this role.

Typical TA Duties include:

• Providing support to pupils in various learning contexts, including the classroom, local environment, and community, to aid their learning, development, and progress across the curriculum.
• Empowering and supporting pupils with a range of needs, such as PMLD, complex medical conditions, and autism, to achieve their educational and personal goals.
• Promoting equality, diversity, and the rights of our pupils to be treated with respect and seen as learners.
• Placing emphasis on support and empowerment for our pupils.
• Promoting a greater understanding of Special Education issues and upholding the values of Aurora.
• Providing high-quality support in all aspects of the role.
• Participating in physical intervention and personal care routines, if required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
