About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated KS2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in South Ribble, Preston. This full-time position will commence in September and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the educational and personal development of children with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
  • Working closely with children to provide individual and group support
  • Assisting in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Monitoring and reporting on student progress
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and external professionals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
