Experienced Teaching Assistants (or HLTA) Level 1, 2 and 3 required for Secondary SEN in North London

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant (or HLTA) passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs? Teaching Personnel is excited to present an excellent opportunity to join a partner secondary SEN school in North London, starting September.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Support teachers in delivering tailored and activity-based lessons to students with special needs including Autism, MLD and PMLD.
  • Use state of the art technology, such as augmented and alternative communication devices to engage students and make the learning experience exciting and interesting!
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Provide support with personal care and ADLs when required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent UK school based/ childcare experience essential.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team.
  • A commitment to promoting the well-being and academic progress of SEN students.
