We are working with a SEN college near Central Manchester to recruit SEN Teaching Assistants to support their learners.

The pupils within the college are between the ages of 16 and 25 and have complex learning difficulties and medical needs, often related to Autism and mobility issues.

The curriculum is based on the level of need of the learner with some learners engaging in mainly sensory based lessons, others in function skills and some in employability and life skills.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant would have experience in:

  • Working with young people or adults with learning difficulties.
  • Able to support those with physical disabilities
  • Able to manage challenging situations effectively

The role would be full time between Monday and Friday between the hours 09:00 to 15:00 with an expected start date in September.

The college has great transport links specifically by bus, train and road.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
