Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

A specialised primary SEN school located in Burnley, dedicated to helping children with a range of special educational needs reach their full potential, both academically and personally are seeking additional support.

The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with a variety of SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and learning disabilities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Support teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities that engage and inspire our students.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every child feels supported and encouraged.
  • Work closely with teachers, SEN specialists, and parents to ensure consistent support and positive outcomes for our students.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, particularly those with SEN, in an educational or supportive role.
  • A patient, compassionate, and flexible approach, with a strong commitment to helping children succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a willingness to undertake further training.
