Are you a passionate and experienced teaching assistant who has experience working with children with special educational needs?

We have an opportunity for you to work in a school with a dedicated team who prides themselves in creating a safe and comfortable space where pupils grow into young adults and achieve their personal goals.

Children who attend the school are between the ages of 3-16 years Meaning that the students usually attend the same school for most of their school life. Staff are able to build bonds with the students and create trusting relationships which encourages them to reach their own goals.

  • The working hours are 8.30am–3.30pm (full-time)
  • Specialist provision- St Helens
  • Start date- As soon as possible.
  • Pay £85-£100 per day

All children who attend the school have Education, Health and Care plans (EHCPs) in order to maximise the pupils progress and overall success.

The school have created a safe secure and healthy environment for both the children and staff. They have a range of facilities available for the pupils to use, such as a sports hall, swimming pool, hydro pool and extensive grounds.

Community is extremely important to the leadership team; they regularly look for opportunities that will benefit both the school and the community of St Helens.

The ideal teaching assistant for the role would be somebody who is empathetic and has a passion for working with children in the education sector, supporting them to achieve to the best of their ability and guiding them. It is important that you have patience and can set great examples.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
