Teaching Personnel are currently working with a specialist provision in Wolverhampton. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who are comfortable supporting vulnerable individuals with special educational needs (SEN) and dealing with challenging behaviours. The position is Monday to Friday (8:30am to 15:30pm). This role involves working with vulnerable children aged 5 to 19 with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs.

The Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school are seeking enthusiastic teaching assistants who are keen to inspire young learners by providing and supporting high quality teaching and enjoyable lessons, and to encourage them to make positive life choices. Ideally you will have some recent experience working within a school setting and be able to work with children. This would be a full-time role and would be perfect for somebody that is looking to be a Physical Education Teacher in the future, wants to gain experience working with children or is looking for a career in the sports/education sector.

This Role Would Involve

  • Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of lessons
  • Organising and collecting resources for the lessons
  • Being a positive role model to inspire and encourage the child to make positive life choices and behaviours
  • Use enthusiasm to encourage children to become involved in lessons

Requirements:

  • Minimum Maths and English GCSE
  • Driving License (desirable)
  • Experience working with children
  • Experience working with Special Educational Needs
  • Am enhanced child DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
