Role Purpose:

The Teaching Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting students' development and helping them achieve independence in a nurturing learning environment. This position involves assisting teaching staff in delivering a diverse curriculum both on and off-site. The role requires flexibility, with responsibilities ranging from one-on-one student support to group activities. Effective behavior management is also an important aspect of the job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and encourage students' learning and independence.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, and evaluation of educational programs and reports.
  • Contribute to assessing, recording, and reporting on students' progress.
  • Promote independence and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
  • Foster positive social behaviors and self-regulation skills.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Level 2 or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with students.
  • A positive and creative approach to meeting students' needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills.
