Teaching Personnel are partnered with a number of schools in the Stockport area that are wanting to bring in an SEN Teaching Assistant to help the progression of students who have additional SEN and SEMH needs. The position will involve working 1:2:1 with the required students and help to make sure they stay on track during their lesson and provide as much help as needed throughout.

Due to a range of complex needs, its important that the applicant has experience with SEN children, however it’s not essential that the experience was within a school setting. For example, you could have a family member or have worked in a coaching position where you’ve had to communicate effectively with the children and develop a rapport with them.

Not only do you have the chance to make a real difference to a pupils school life, you’ll also be able to receive:

  • Option to book in and block out days to suit your lifestyle and preferences.
  • Start date as soon as you’re cleared for work.

Before Teaching Personnel are able to place you anywhere, we have to ensure were sending in the right candidate to work with these students. Therefore, we carry out a vetting process to work in line with the schools’ safeguarding procedures.

  1. You must have an up-to-date child workforce DBS certificate. (You can obtain one through Teaching Personnel)
  2. Provide 2 work-based references from the past 2 years.
  3. Completion of our online safeguarding course.

Once these steps are completed, we’ll be able to place you as soon as possible!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
