SEN Teaching Assistant
Teaching Personnel have an exciting permanent opportunity to work with an exceptional school based in Windsor, the school are looking for passionate and experienced teaching assistant who specialise in SEMH, ASC, ODD and ADHD needs.
You'll be working with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Condition/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You'll be there to help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You will need to be resilient and dedicated, but those huge small victories that you achieve will be something you're really proud of.
Pay rates are competitive and between £21,000 and £23,000 depending upon experience.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertaking activities with individuals, groups or a class of children in order to facilitate their physical, emotional and educational development within a safe environment, usually under the supervision of a teacher

- Working to establish a supportive relationship with the children and parents concerned in order to facilitate effective communication and partnership between school and home where appropriate

- Carrying out pre-determined educational activities and work programmes ensuring that specific guidelines are followed whilst promoting independent learning to support the children's understanding

- Encouraging acceptance and inclusion of the child with special needs to support achievement and development

- Promoting and reinforcing the child's self-esteem and encourage the child to maximise their achievement and development

Requirements
Experience working in a classroom
Level 2 or more qualification
Experience with SEN needs.
Directions - this school is based in Windsor, has local motorway routes nearby and public transport can be accessed. Parking will be available on site.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
