Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Rossendale
Hours: Part-time, sporadic days (8:45 am - 3:45 pm)
Pay Rate: £12.90 per hour
Start Date: September (flexible)

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant at our school, you will have the opportunity to work across both primary and secondary age groups, providing vital support to students with a range of additional needs. Your role will be dynamic and varied, offering flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact every day you are with us.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with diverse needs, including Autism, Speech, Language, and Communication Needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and more.
  • Assisting with the delivery of tailored learning activities to ensure each child reaches their potential.
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence and independence.
  • Providing personal care support where necessary, maintaining the dignity and well-being of the pupils at all times.
  • Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Confidence in supporting pupils with additional needs across a range of ages and abilities.
  • A patient and caring approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work on sporadic days as required.
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential; a willingness to learn and adapt is key!

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
