Location: Milton Keynes, MK3

Job Type: Temporary - Permanent

Salary: £90 - £100 Per day

We are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to support in a SEN Primary School based in Milton Keynes starting in September 2024. Please see details below

Their Primary Provision (5 to 11) caters for up to 66 children with a range of identified needs which include Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Communication and Interaction difficulties, Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Complex Needs, ADHD, and PDA. The Secondary Provision (11 to 16) caters for up to 24 children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). All the children who attend the School have an EHCP.

Job Duties:

  • Supporting class Senior LSA’s and Teachers with the preparation of resources to meet the personalised learning intentions of allocated students.
  • Providing 1:1 support under the supervision of the class Teacher for the delivery of skills-based learning.
  • Work closely with class Teacher to report on progress using an evidence-based approach
  • To enable students to learn by; understanding their learning goals and targets; enable them to practice and learn new skills and challenge them to be as independent as possible
  • To be involved in the provision of all aspects of support necessary that will ensure the students wellbeing and ability to function and engage in learning.
  • To understand and fully implement Safeguarding policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths

Experience:

  • Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting would be ideal but not necessary. This role comes with additional responsibilities to that of a Teaching Assisant's.

  • Organisational skills to manage tasks efficiently
  • Prioritisation skills to handle multiple responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
