Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Primary and Secondary Provision, Rossendale
Hours: 8:45 am - 3:45 pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, Long-term
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our primary and secondary provision in Rossendale. In this role, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with a range of additional needs, including but not limited to:

  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
  • Speech, Language, and Communication Needs
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils in their learning, helping them to access the curriculum and engage in classroom activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each pupil's specific needs.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in managing classroom behavior and promoting positive social interactions among pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for each pupil.
  • Help with personal care needs when necessary, ensuring the dignity and well-being of all pupils.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs is highly desirable.
