  • Supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) in their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)
  • Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
  • Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour strategies
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or individuals with SEN

Previous experience or training in education or working with individuals with SEN

Experience working in a school or educational setting with individuals with SEN

  • Understanding of SEN and different learning needs
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in specific areas of SEN, such as autism or dyslexia

This role involves working within a school setting, supporting students with SEN. Working hours are typically school hours, Monday to Friday. The role may require some flexibility and occasional additional hours for meetings or planning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
