Teaching Personnel are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with Autism and ADHD. This role is essential to helping our ALN students achieve their full potential and aid their access to learning by providing personalised support and guidance

Location: Newport

Job Type: Monday – Friday, 8:30 - 15:30

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £83.85- £90 daily, dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working 1:1 with the pupil to assist in comprehension and completing classroom assignments and activities set by the class teacher.
  • Ensure the pupil is kept safe, with an inclusive and stimulating environment.
  • Assist with emotional, social and physical needs that the student may require, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
  • Establish a positive relationship with the student to build trust and be an essential part of their school journey.
  • Participate in training and professional development sessions related to Autism, ADHD and other additional needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs.
  • Resilient and adaptable.
  • Have a genuine passion for helping young people achieve success in their academic and personal development.
  • EWC registration (or willingness to apply)
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS) (or willingness to apply)
