An award-winning SEN school group is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their permanent staff at an alternative site in Dorset. This school group is renowned for its exceptional commitment to supporting students with special educational needs, offering a tailored and nurturing environment.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and classroom management.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or similar (preferred).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
