SEN Teaching Assistant for Year 7 Nurture Class

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive Year 7 Nurture Class team. This class is designed to offer additional care and guidance to smaller groups of students, with 8 pupils in one group and 6 in another, ensuring they thrive in a nurturing and structured environment.

  • Location: Year 7 Nurture Class.
  • Students: 8 pupils in one group, 6 pupils in the other.
  • Team: You will work alongside an experienced primary teacher and other teaching assistants.
  • Outdoor Learning: One day a week, the group participates in Outdoor Education and social skills development, so an interest in outdoor activities and being active is a plus.
  • Provide individual and group support to Year 7 pupils to help them access the curriculum.
  • Assist with social and emotional development, supporting students in developing confidence and communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to plan and deliver lessons tailored to meet the specific needs of the pupils.
  • Support the group during outdoor education activities, encouraging active participation and personal growth.
  • Passionate about working with young people in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Enthusiastic about outdoor learning and physical activities.
  • Patient, understanding, and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential—training will be provided.
