A wonderful school in Rochdale is looking for dedicated and inspiring SEN Teaching Assistants, who are committed to the educational development of young people. The ideal candidate will have a nurturing personality with the ability to form great relationships with staff and students alike. In this role no day will look the same, so it is therefore important that you are able adapt accordingly to any possible scenario.
 
Key Responsibilities – SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Be confident and comfortable working in small groups where students require extra support and attention
  • Support the delivery of captivating lesson plans
  • Provide 1-1 support for individual or groups of students
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment inside and outside the classroom
 
Key Requirements – SEN Teaching Assistant
  • (Preferred) A degree in Psychology
  • (preferred) Experience working with children who have additional needs and requirements
  • A deep understanding of safeguarding for children
  • The ability to adapt teaching style to cater for individual needs
  • A good understanding of behaviour management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have an engaging personality that can inspire young minds
