  • Assist in supporting the learning and development of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans for students
  • Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN in the classroom setting
  • Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Help students with SEN to engage with the curriculum and participate in classroom activities
  • Support students with personal care and mobility needs as required
  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEN

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

Prior experience working in a school or educational setting

  • Understanding of different types of SEN and appropriate support strategies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN
  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training
  • Work hours may vary based on school schedules
  • Potential for some physical demands when assisting students with mobility needs
  • Regular interaction with students, teachers, and parents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
