A primary school in Croydon is seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with a background in performing arts who are looking to make a real difference in children's lives by suppo
rting students with special educational needs.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will work closely with students with a variety of SEN, including Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Moderate Learning Difficulty (MLD), and Severe Learning Difficulty (SLD). They will assist in creating an inclusive learning environment, providing tailored support to ensure each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support students in one-on-one and group settings, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Implement individual learning plans for students with SLCN, ASD, MLD, and SLD.
• Use performing arts skills to foster creativity, confidence, and communication in students with SEN.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external professionals to deliver targeted support.
• Promote the social, emotional, and physical development of children within the school environment.

Ideal Candidate:
• A background in performing arts (e.g., drama, dance, or music), with the ability to engage and inspire students through creative approaches.
• Experience working with children with special educational needs is preferred.
• A patient, compassionate, and proactive individual with strong communication skills.
• An adaptable team player, ready to work in a dynamic school environment.
• A commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
