Job Description:

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school located in Dukinfield, Tameside. This position is temporary and will commence immediately, running through until the Christmas break.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis or in small groups.
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies.
  • Provide encouragement and support to help pupils achieve their learning objectives.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within SEN settings.
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational and emotional development.
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in education or SEN (desirable).
