Job Description:

Are you a compassionate and skilled Teaching Assistant seeking an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a well-regarded primary school? We are offering a full-time, 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant position in Wavertree (L15), supporting a delightful child in Year 3. This temporary role, covering a staff absence, will run from October to December. The school is highly praised by staff, parents, and pupils, with particular recognition for its SENCO and Headteacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Support: Provide tailored, one-on-one assistance to pupils with special educational needs, focusing on their academic and developmental needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans and strategies.
  • Resource Preparation: Help prepare teaching materials and resources that address the specific needs of SEN pupils.
  • Classroom Assistance: Assist the class teacher in maintaining an organised and inclusive environment, ensuring a positive learning experience for all pupils.
  • Behavioural Support: Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and social interactions.
