SEN Teaching Assistant Needed - Primary SEN Unit - Full-Time or Part-Time Available

A primary school with a dedicated SEN unit is seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This role involves working with children with Autism in a small class setting, with a team of four SEN Teaching Assistants in each class. The school is looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant who is flexible with year groups and can provide essential support to students with special educational needs.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have experience working with children with Autism and a passion for helping them thrive in both academic and social aspects. The role is full-time, but the school is open to part-time arrangements for the right SEN Teaching Assistant.

Position Overview:

  • Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Location: Primary SEN Unit within a mainstream primary school
  • Class Size: 10 pupils with 4 SEN Teaching Assistants per class

Key Responsibilities for the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Providing 1:1 and group support to children with Autism.
  • Assisting the class teacher with tailored lesson plans.
  • Supporting pupil's social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Collaborating with other SEN Teaching Assistants to create a positive learning environment.
