As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include providing support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in a classroom setting. You will assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies. Additionally, you will help create a positive learning environment and offer one-to-one support to students as needed.

- Relevant experience working with children with SEN

- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

- Additional qualifications in Special Education or Teaching Assistance are desirable

- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting

- Experience implementing IEPs and behaviour management plans

- Knowledge of SEN best practises

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification

- First Aid certification

- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday

- Classroom environment within a school setting

- Potential for additional training and professional development opportunities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
