Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or passionate about working with students with special educational needs? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in the Wythenshawe area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young people who need additional support in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).
  • Assisting students in managing behaviour, promoting positive social interactions.
  • Working closely with the classroom teacher to adapt learning materials and support lesson delivery.
  • Implementing strategies outlined in students’ Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Supporting the overall development and progress of students with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.

About You:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A calm, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting students.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude to work, with the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and ensuring all students reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
