We are seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support students in a dynamic secondary school located in Hedge End. This role involves working closely with students who have learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and other additional needs. Your role will be pivotal in providing tailored support to ensure each student can thrive both academically and socially.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students with learning difficulties, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their learning goals.
  • Assist in the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and teachers to implement personalised support plans.
  • Encourage the development of key skills such as communication, independence, and confidence.
  • Manage challenging behaviour in a positive and supportive manner.
