We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a specialist school in Aylesbury. This full-time role involves supporting students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their academic and personal development goals in a positive and nurturing environment.

  • Provide 1:1 and group support to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs.
  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assist in tracking student progress.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a supportive learning environment.
  • Promote the social, emotional, and communication skills of students, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
  • Previous experience working with SEN children in a school setting is preferred.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to supporting individual learning needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
