As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with special educational needs (SEN) to provide support and assistance in their learning and development. Your duties may include helping students with classroom activities, supporting their social and emotional well-being, and assisting the teacher in implementing individual education plans.

- Relevant experience working with children with SEN

- Understanding of SEN strategies and interventions

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

- Additional qualifications in SEN support are desirable

- Previous experience working in a similar role

- Experience in implementing individual education plans

- Knowledge of SEN best practises

- Ability to maintain a positive and supportive learning environment

- Strong organisational skills

- Patience and empathy when working with students with SEN

- Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools

- First Aid certification

- Work in a school setting

- Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required

- Collaborative work with teachers and other support staff

- Adherence to school policies and procedures

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
