Role: SEN Teaching Assistant 

Location: Dudley

Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:30pm)

Weekly Wage: £420 to £450

Contract: Temporary with the view to go perm

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist Support Assistant to join our team at a well-established specialist school in Dudley, supporting children with Severe Learning Disabilities (SLD). This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience working with children with physical disabilities and who is comfortable providing personal care as part of their role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to children with SLD and physical disabilities.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks as required.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure students' individual needs are met.
  • Support students in their physical and emotional development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SLD and physical disabilities.
  • Confidence and willingness to provide personal care.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
  • A child & Adult DBS on the Update Service.
