SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Burry Port

Pay: £12.90 per hour 

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to work full time at one of our partner ALN (Additional Learning Needs) Schools. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work with a range of students with ALN, including ASC, Sensory Impairments, SEMH amongst many more. As a SEN TA you will work with various age ranges. As such, must adapt your provision to individual student needs, and work on a 1 to 1, or small group scale to provide additional support and a positive learning environment.

As a TA you will work with multi agencies frequently, to ensure the most effective methods of learning are being utilised. You will be a proactive, resilient, and flexible individual. Additionally, you should ensure safeguarding is a number one priority, creating rapport with the students is imperative.

Facing many challenges, the ideal candidate will need to be patient, offer a caring and supportive environment, while remining resilient to challenging behaviour daily.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s (A*- C)
  • Enhanced DBS
  • EWC (Educational Workforce Council)
  • Experience working with SEN previously, personally, or professionally (Preferred)
